Lisa Iwersen

Lisa Iwersen – Lisa has been with us for years, well before there even was an OTBEC. She was an integral part of us establishing this facility, and we greatly value her experience, skills, and input. She’s taught generations of barn kids and adults, (and even some barn kids who became adult riders) and has been adored by all of them! Reach out if you’d like to be part of her program and experience her exuberant, positive, fun approach to riding!

In her own own words:
Hi! I’m an “A” pony clubber. I evented successfully at the prelim level, I galloped and broke race horses. I worked for a very competitive dressage barn with their young imported horses. I was co-DC  of Delaware Pony club for several years.
I have been coaching adults and children for the past 30 years. My theories are everyone rides for their own reasons – maybe to compete, maybe to move up through the levels, maybe for fun, or maybe to be a better safe rider. I have taught riders for years that never once competed.  I don’t believe in forcing a horse and I am not a fan of a lot of equipment or gadgets. Sometimes you gotta take a step back before you can go forward.
I like to understand the horse and rider team……..remember Gang – we do it because it’s fun😍
